Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If I do not renew next year, what features do I still keep for free?
All core life-support functions remain 100% free forever! Even without renewing the cloud subscription, your hardware continues executing automatic feeding schedules, silent water top-offs (ATO), emergency battery blackout protection, and real-time temperature sensing completely offline. You can also connect to its built-in Wi-Fi hotspot to change timers anytime.
Q: What is the cost of SaaS renewal after Year 1?
AquaCloud renewal is just ₹299/year (MRP ₹353 incl. 18% GST), which is approximately ₹25/month (less than ₹1 per day). It unlocks global out-of-home remote control, instant blackout push alerts, 30-day historical sensor graphs, and CSV data downloads.
Q: How does blackout protection keep my fish safe?
The controller detects an AC mains power failure in under 50 milliseconds and instantly transitions to its internal rechargeable battery. High-power decorative lighting is automatically turned off to conserve energy, while scheduled feeding cycles, water level monitoring, and temperature sensing continue running uninterrupted for up to 18 hours.
Q: Do I need to keep a computer or laptop running?
No. The Smart Aquarium Kit communicates directly with the AquaCloud secure server over your standard home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router. You can monitor and adjust settings from any smartphone, tablet, or web browser anywhere in the world.
Q: Why is sign-in required to download telemetry CSV data?
To protect your privacy and ensure data integrity, CSV telemetry downloads are strictly secured behind user authentication. Once signed in, you can download your device's complete timestamped historical sensor logs with a single click.
Q: How difficult is the physical setup?
Setup takes less than 5 minutes. The rear panel features keyed, tool-free quick-connect sockets for the temperature probe, float level switch, submersible pump, and LED lamp. Simply clip the accessories onto your tank rim and plug the cables into their designated sockets.
